Quote from US's answer to Romapada Goswami: "and one has identified a particular nitya-siddha Vraja-vasi whose raga and bhava one aspires to follow (anuga)"
In which verse in BRS is it stated that it should be a *nitya* siddha?
What is the references to the very interesting discussion about following the nitya siddha in chapter 5 of the book?

Here are the references from Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu:
Since kama-rupa and sambandha-rupa-bhakti, which are caused by prema alone, take shelter of the nitya-siddhas, they have not been discussed in this section thoroughly. BRS, 1.2.289
Commentary by Jiva Gosvami:
Svarupa here means "cause". The nitya-siddhas, such as Nanda, are the main shelters of this type of bhakti. Because of this, these two are not thoroughly discussed in this section on sadhana, but will be discussed in other chapters.
From these two types of ragatmika-bhakti, two types of raganuga-bhakti (sadhana-bhakti), called kamanuga and sambandhanuga-bhakti are derived. BRS, 1.2.290
The qualification for rāgānugā-bhakti is as follows: That person who is greedy for attaining a bhāva similar to that of the inhabitants of Vraja – who are fixed solely in rāgātmikā-bhakti – is qualified for rāgānugā-bhakti. BRS, 1.2.291
Commentary by Visvanatha Cakravarti:
Having described the characteristics of ragatmiha-bhal!ti of the siddha-bhaktas, the author now describes the characteristics of raganuga-bhakti of the sadhakas. He who is greedy to attain a bhava similar to that of the people of Vraja-who are fixed in ragatmika-bhakti--is qualified for raganuga-bhakti.
Another consideration is this: Raganuga-bhakti means to follow the raga of the nitya-siddha Vraja-vasis. We only have information about the nitya-siddhas in the lila books. We don't have any information about the sadhana-siddhas, so they cannot be followed.
