Dear Uttamasloka prabhu!
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!
I have finished reading chapter five with great satisfaction. I've been following Śrīla Prabhupāda's teachings for several years, and have read Jaiva Dharma and Śrī Hari-nāma-cintāmaṇi, but never really understood all those sections with the stages one is has to go through (seemed too technical and translations didn't help). Now its very clear and the knowledge helps me have a very clear vision of the goals and ideals of my personal spiritual path. I have greatly benefited from your guidance. Thank you very much.
While reading I went through confusion, astonishment, anger and several emotions at once. Specially when realizing how much Śrīla Prabhupāda had decided to not give focus nor detail to any kind of mental process. I personally think that as Śrīla Prabhupāda said "Guru will give", I have been blessed by receiving this knowledge from him indirectly through you, his disciple. Thank you again! I just wish Śrīla Prabhupāda would have given more detail with those transitional stages, since after reading his books I still didn't have a clear idea how I would develop a spiritual identity but to "just chant".
The book so far also helped me appreciate the role of guru in a new light, adding more to the emotional depth of the bhakti process. I was used to seeing guru as a source of philosophical analysis of scripture, and rule-giver as it is the focus in vaidhī-bhakti.
Unlimited amount of questions arise after reading the chapter and meditating on its topics. I appreciate that you are available for answering questions and guidance. I am sad to read many of the reviews that others have posted of your book, specially how offensive some of they are, but I don't get this clarity from anyone else. I can immediately take action and start to put to practice what is being taught in the book, to me it is very practical information. Thank you!
Hare Kṛṣṇa!
